- Large aftermarket front splitter removed from car
- Aftermarket rear diffuser removed from car
- Engine Oil, Transmission Oil and Coolant at adequate levels and life
- Absolutely no exhaust leaks
- Any known check engine lights (CELs) or drivetrain issues must be communicated and OK'd by CSG prior to dyno session appointment
- If new CEL or drivetrain issues develop between the dyno session appointment and the date of the dyno, please communicate with CSG ASAP. Failure to communicate issues that prevent car from going on the dyno may result in the loss of your dyno deposit
Preparing for your dyno session - In detail
The complete dyno tuning process can take between 3 and 5 hours from start to finish, but is often completed sooner than that.
Waiting on site in our patio area by the car / dyno is allowed. At this time, we ask you keep a face mask on if not vaccinated against Covid. Alternatively, you are also welcome to drop off the car, cruise around town while we perform the tuning, and come back when the car is ready.
Infinite Motion does not have an onsite bathroom; but there are public restaurants & other facilities nearby so please plan accordingly!
Bring a wheel nut key if your wheels require one, as our dyno is hub-based and requires wheel removal for mounting.
A certain amount of ground clearance is critical to load the car safely and effectively. If you have a largely extended front splitter, I recommend removing it since it'll likely contact the ground when we jack the rear up for loading and unloading in this case. If you have an aftermarket rear diffuser, remove that as well. We typically use the inboard lower control arm mounting points on the subframe to jack the car, and most aftermarket diffusers will not allow this to happen.
Make sure your car is topped off on essential fluids like engine oil and coolant, and that it is free of engine leaks.
Fuel for your dyno session
If we're doing a flex fuel tune, bring the car with 1/4 tank fuel of 91 octane only. In separate 5 gallon jug(s), bring 5-10 gallons of E85.
If just a pump gas tune, bring the car full of fresh 91 from the station you plan to use most often. We prefer Shell & 76 over Chevron.
