CSG & Titan Motorsports have developed a complete fuel system upgrade for the B58-equipped 2020/21 Toyota MKV Supra. Titan's own A90 Supra is equipped with a supplemental Fueltech ECU controlling the secondary port injection and a number of additional sensors to log parameters not available in the factory DME. The factory fuel system lacks the capacity required to deliver enough fuel when paired with larger turbochargers, as well as the ability to consistently deliver it under volatile track conditions. Supplemental port injection has been a popular upgrade to add additional capacity required when using aftermarket turbochargers or higher ethanol-content fuel, but has not been able to fully address the fuel delivery equation.
Though the standard Titan kit is robust in its own right, it lacked consistency and headroom for the highest output Supras being taken onto the track. The included pumps are a bit smaller, and offer more of a fuel delivery volume increase than a starvation prevention. This is ideal for drag setups that don't have too high of a power ceiling, but left road course users wanting a more complete solution. Leaving no stone left unturned, the CSG Spec version of this system ditches every single component from the standard Titan kit, save for its surge tank mounting solution. Our fuel system provides overhead for up to 1200 crank HP on unleaded fuels, and 800 HP on 85% ethanol. This is achieved without deviating from factory fuel pressure, while also utilizing the surge tank to supply & safeguard both port and direct injection lines to the engine.
During routing testing on Titan's Dynojet, they began to see anomalies in pressure with the low-pressure fuel pump when surpassing 650whp or using higher ethanol content. In CSG's own testing, we noticed this at even lower power levels both on the dyno and the road course. Many tuners have been flying blind relying only on the factory sensors which do not include fuel pressure on the low-pressure side. However the combination of port injection, the factory HPFP, and nitrous all tax the LPFP at a significant rate. As a result, Titan began development on their fuel system upgrade for the A90 Supra to provide the engine with the additional capacity it needs, all while also now allowing the end user to run 100 percent E85 fuel. The CSG Spec version of this system builds upon that ethos and provides road course drivers with the consistency that they require, with volume flow potential that can support even the highest power needs.
Designed to complement the CSF or AMS manifold (or other fuel rails w/ appropriate adapter fittings) this fuel system provides everything needed on the low-pressure side starting with an additional ethanol compatible AEM 320lph in-tank fuel pump that securely mounts with an included Radium hanger assembly. Modification of the factory fuel cover is NOT required like the standard Titan system, as we replace the entire piece with the best quality Radium components. Fuel is then delivered to a Radium Surge Tank with Supra MKV-specific mount and all required fuel lines, controlled by an additional Radium multi-port fuel pressure regulator allowing for fuel pressure setting of port injection and direct injection sides of the system together. Compared to the standard system, the CSG spec version replaces the surge tank pump with a BKS-1001 that can be run either at 100% power full time, or with PWM control through appropriate electronics & tuning. Combined with an appropriate port injection system, this upgrade will allow the end user to run full ethanol fuel and deliver enough fuel to support in excess of 1,000hp.
